Your child will engage in play based learning while learning letters, sounds & numbers

Kinder

Students begin their years of education at CHCS in February of the year they turn five.

This first year of schooling is called Kindergarten and it is a vital introduction to school life, expectations and routines.

Your child will participate in play based learning and will be supported to:

• Use language to communicate ideas & feelings

• Make friends & learn to cooperate with others

• Become more independent & confident

• Develop self-discipline

• Express themselves through art, dance and dramatic play

• Engage in problem solving activities

Students engage in varied social play based learning opportunities as well as an introduction to letters, sounds and numbers.

Music lessons are attended weekly as well as Physical Education classes. Kindergarten students are introduced to technology with regular iPad lessons.

Kindergarten students attend school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:40am - 2:45pm.  

In Kinder we cater for each student’s stage of development.

All Kinder & Early Learning sessions are held in the same room & play area, at school, which is secure within the campus.
