Students are given practical opportunities to learn leadership skills in a supportive environment

Student Leadership

The school operates an annual student leadership program in each of the sub schools, giving a number of students the opportunity to learn and demonstrate leadership skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Junior School - In the Junior School every Year 5 student has the opportunity to be a student leader for 1 term. We refer to our Year 5 Program as Leaders in Training (LiT).

Middle School -  Students from the Year 9 LED class are invited to apply to be a student leader, taking on various responsibilities in the Middle School.

College - Students are invited to apply to be a student leader as part of the Student Executive Team. Additionally, Year 11/12 students may apply for the Captain and Vice-Captain positions. There is a leadership retreat held each year to learn new skills & plan activities for the year.

House Captains - Each House has up to two captains and vice-captains who are responsible to assist the House leaders on Sports Carnival days, House days and other house competitions.

All student leaders are expected to model Christian ethos n all aspects of their school life and represent CHCS well in the community including at official functions.
