Welcome

Welcome to the home page of the Circular Head Christian School.  May I introduce you to what I believe is a great school and one to which I am passionately committed to seeing achieve its potential in the Circular Head community and beyond to our state, our nation and our world.

At the Circular Head Christian School we believe that each person is a unique creation of God and as such each person is perfectly gifted by God to carry out a role in the community they choose to live in.  We believe that when a person’s life is submitted to the Lordship of Christ, that life in all its intricacies falls into place and makes perfect sense.

We want to be known as a school that puts God right in the middle of all we do and consequently we wish to bring Him glory in every facet of our operation.   We also want to be known as a school that brings out the best educationally in each child allowing them to achieve their God-given potential.

I believe that the CHCS staff team is genuinely committed to caring for each child, wanting only the best for them.  We seek to give them the best educational outcomes we can, to instil in them Godly values, care and compassion for others and a sense of purpose, hope and vision in life.

God’s word, the Bible, teaches us that God does not look for perfection in us.  Rather, He looks for teachable characters, willing hearts and positive attitudes.  When these exist, we can achieve great things.  Consequently we aim to have a strong emphasis through our pastoral care program and our curriculum and assessment methods, on students having a positive and hard working attitude.

When a student begins their time at the Circular Head Christian School they begin a partnership between themselves, the school, their family and God.  As Principal, my desire is that each child, by the time they leave CHCS, will know that they have been loved, cared for and encouraged to be the best they can be.

ANZAC Day 2012, Kate Gardiner's Speech

The pride and respect of Australians

"Australia is a young country that was once nothing more than a few convict settlements with many miles of ground to cover between them. This all changed nearly 100yrs ago when a disunited continent rallied together for one cause. Nearly 11-and-a-half thousand ANZAC soldiers died at Gallipoli, fighting for a cause greater than them. Did the young men know they’d never see their sweethearts again? Did the old men know they’d never see their grandkids? I wonder if they understood what sort of adventure they were in for."
